The Milwaukee Press Club is fortunate to enjoy one of the most historic and
interesting headquarters in the nation, if not the world. Owned and operated by
the world-renowned Safe House, the Newsroom Pub
is located in downtown Milwaukee just across from
the historic Pabst Theatre.
The Pub itself features rich woodwork, a fireplace and is the home of Anubis the Cat, The Milwaukee Press Club's mummified mascot. The adjacent meeting room is the site of the Press Club's Newsmaker Luncheons and many other professional and social gatherings throughout the year. Most significantly, the Newsroom Pub is the home of one of the most interesting known collections of signature plaques of dignitaries, celebrities, sports figures and political figures, including most U.S. Presidents since the Club's inception in 1885.
Use of the Newsroom Pub for your own events is one of the perks of Press Club membership. The room accommodates up to 150 people, with bar and catering service provided by the Safe House.
