Students and Journalists Encouraged to Register Early
MILWAUKEE, WI - Students, journalists and communication professionals are invited to join the UW-Milwaukee Broadcast Club and the Milwaukee Press Club for a FREE reporting seminar on Sunday, March 7 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at UW-Milwaukee featuring Boyd Huppert - one of the best local television news reporters in the country!

Huppert, a reporter at KARE-TV in Minneapolis and a newsroom veteran with more than 25 years experience, has produced and presented more than a hundred storytelling sessions for organizations around the world including the Poynter Institute, TV New Zealand, Danish Broadcasting Corporation, Hawaii Broadcasters Association, National Writers Workshop and National Press Photographers Association. He has also earned some of journalism's top honors including a National Emmy, the Sigma Delta Chi Award, the National Headliner Grand Award and five National Edward R. Murrow Awards.

Parking: Street parking on Downer Avenue is free on Sundays. Park on Downer as close as possible to the intersection of Downer and Hartford.

UW-Milwaukee Broadcast Club
The UW-Milwaukee Broadcast Club is an award-winning student organization open to all students, regardless of class rank or major. Since its inception in 2003, the club has negotiated use of a television studio, launched a campus cable television station and produces two television programs each week, with members staffing all positions, including directing, audio, studio camera operator, producing and hosting. The club also produces live play-by-play coverage of UWM women's basketball, volleyball and soccer games.
