Now accepting entries for the 2011 MPC Awards for Excellence in Wisconsin Journalism

The Milwaukee Press Club and the MPC Endowment, Ltd. are pleased to invite entries for the annual MPC Awards for Excellence in Wisconsin Journalism contest.

The awards competition is open to work originated and published, broadcast or posted online in Wisconsin during the year ending December 31, 2011.

Entries must be uploaded by 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2012.

Winners will be honored at the Gridiron Awards Dinner scheduled for Friday, May 18, 2012, at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts in Milwaukee. The evening will also honor this year’s recipients of the Sacred Cat and Headliner Awards. Political analyst for Fox News Channel and author Juan Williams will receive this year’s Sacred Cat award; the Headliners are to be announced.

Award winners will be posted on the MPC website prior to the event. However, the specific award now called gold, silver or bronze will be announced and presented at the Gridiron Awards Dinner.
